You can direct sow them anytime from late fall to early spring and they will germinate when the time is right.  These seeds are very tiny so if direct seeding it's best to use the shaker method where you mix your seeds with 1\/4 cup of dry sand and use an old spice shaker (that's clean), or other container with holes in it, to evenly disperse your seeds.  Snapdragons need light to germinate so after sowing give them a very light dusting with peat so as to disguise them from birds.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e You can also start these over winter in pots to get an early start spring flowers.  If starting in pots place seeds on the surface of your soil and lightly dust with vermiculite or sand.  Snapdragon can tolerate cold weather and a light freezes and hard frosts.
